Innovation helps countries to generate new products and services that bring benefits for the productivity and welfare of the population.
Innovation refers to the process of either modifying existing elements, ideas and protocols to improve them, or creating new ones to have a favorable impact on the market. Whatever the approach, innovation is very important for companies, societies and countries to continue to grow and develop.
“As businessmen, what we can do is to influence and propose”, said Felipe Antonio Bosch Gutiérrez, in an interview with the Guatemalan digital newspaper República.gt. Bosch is a businessman who has been characterized for promoting development in Guatemala through his participation in the organized business sector.
In this sense, it highlights the importance of innovation as a tool that generates value and allows the creation of ingenious solutions. Such is the case of the National Meeting of Entrepreneurs “ENADE” in Guatemala, with Felipe Bosch as one of the promoters of this activity since 2003. With innovative thinking and with the aim of generating new ideas for the benefit of Guatemalan society, Bosch promoted the initiative during his work as president of the Coordinating Committee of Agricultural, Commercial, Industrial and Financial Associations (CACIF), after having attended other ENADEs in the region.
On that occasion in 2003, the theme to be developed was “Reconciliation, Trade Opening and Development”. Since then, ENADE in Guatemala has become an annual space where different topics of national interest are presented and discussed in order to propose actions that can be carried out for the economic and social development of the country, with the involvement of the business sector.
In its 16 editions in Guatemala, ENADE has addressed a variety of topics of national interest: Competitiveness, Development, Security and Infrastructure. Thanks to the different conversations generated around these topics, the business sector has been able to adopt a new perspective for its business, which can lead to an improvement in the country’s economy.
Currently, Felipe serves as a director of Losa Group, a group that explores and develops long-term business alliances in different sectors of the global economy. He is also part of the Board of Trustees 2022-2023 of the Foundation for the Development of Guatemala “FUNDESA”, entity in which he served as President. He is also Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Juan Bautista Gutiérrez Foundation.
